Thank You for You Prayers!

December 20, 2013
Dear Friends,
I just wanted to personally thank you all for you prayers.  I am happy to report I am feeling stronger everyday.  Yesterday, my stitches were removed and the Dr. is amazed at the progress / condition of my “flap”.  Apparently, I am weeks ahead in the healing progress … Like I said, thank you for your prayers
I had been in kinds of a holding state for many months in regard to this surgery not knowing how it could all come to pass for many reasons. However, it just took a simple “yes” and every thing came into place very quickly.  And praise God I didn’t know all the details otherwise I would have been …. Hmmm “chicken.”
It wasn’t long after checking in, that I was whisked away to be prepped for the procedure.   Not sure why I had “easier” in my mind for this surgery compared to initially burn/skin grafts.  I guess because I didn’t have to go through the “roasting” process as I did the first time around.  Needless to say, the more I listened to the nitty gritty details , the more I was now feeling somewhat like a plucked chicken. I wasn’t prepared to hear what I was hearing … “thigh on neck” …. 9- 10 hours long, etc.  In 10 minutes time, since I left Mitch’s company,  I had been transformed: chicken, plucked chicken, and now plucked chicken in headlights.   I must say, I was full of God’s peace and I know it was because of your prayers.  I was grateful the Dr. was willing to call Mitch and let him know I’d be a little late … about 6 hours late
Unbeknownst to me, I was kept sedated in ICU with a breathing tube. When I woke up the following day, I was pleasantly surprised to not have pain radiating through my thighs as I did when I had my first skin graft.    The “flap,” as it is called, was taken from my belly.  “How is that better?” … You might be asking, trust me, it is!  A flap was removed from my abdomen verses shaving skin from legs and leaving them raw.
I was very thankful to have been “knocked out” intentionally until the second day.  My thighs felt better, but on the flip side, I was gasping for every breath, or at least it seemed that way. If you’ve ever had a breathing tube or ventilator lodged in your throat, you know what I am attempting to describe. It is impossible to make a sound … Impossible to say:  “I can’t breathe!”  … “I’m choking”.   Then, Mitch touched my head and said, “just relax, it is breathing for you.”  The reason I share that with you is because there are times in life when we may feel like we have no control in situation – can’t get a breath- in circumstances or life’s storms; it is like there is no air!  Yet, the Father is right there … A touch away, to say, relax or Peace, I will breathe for you.
Yes, thank you for your prayers!
Nancy has been talking “shift” for some time now in regards to The Lord shifting, etc. Well, Nancy got a  “shift” too.  Mitch stayed with me the first week while in the hospital. Then I had to stay in the area for follow-up appointments so I was so glad she was willing to take a shift .
I am thrilled with the immediate pain relief I now have in my neck.  I literally have no pain, no pulling, no constriction in my neck. Never thought that would be possible!  God has made a way!
In 3-4 months, I will come back to New York for the second and last phase of this “flap.”  But not nearly as invasive; 1 or 2 days in hospital, and a few follow-up appointments.  Between now and then, I will have to attend to the edges of my flap; daily dressings, etc. …. But no more neck brace
Please continue to pray as the edges heal. Also, as you can imagine, insurance coding is not going to be the ” norm” so I would be most appreciative if you would continue to pray for God’s favor as my insurance coverage is being processed.
On another note, Nancy is diligently soaking in all the Lord is revealing for the upcoming new year.  It is going to be a powerful and awesome year!  This 2013 year was about The Kingdom of God; His presence, His. word, His glory!  So it is no wonder the Lord is releasing a sound in 2014!  Get you ears on!  PTH will be on the ministry road for the first 9 weeks of 2014.
The first Point To Hope Conference is January 16-18, 2014; check the website for details. There are many details in progress and many more to complete. Please continue to pray for Nancy, the PTH team, and the many helping hands that help make these conference available and possible to God’s  glory.
Yes, your prayers are truly powerful.
Blessings to all,
Sincerely,
Sarah Tarter

Update for Sarah

Nancy is in New York with Sarah after Sarah finished her
surgery and got out of the hospital Saturday.
Nancy reports that “everything is going so well !!!  It’s absolutely amazing !!!”  Sarah has one more appointment to get
stitches out and they will come back to Alaska on Sunday 1/22.

Please don’t stop praying.
All is well because of your prayers.
God is so faithful and will continue to heal and bless Sarah.

They are also enduring New York City in winter storms –
walking snowy streets, hailing taxis, but enjoying New York amenities like
fresh bagels while they are there.

All to say, Sarah is doing very well and so is Nancy.  Thank you for your prayers as Sarah continues
this healing process.

Love & Blessings,

Debbie Grimes, Director

Update on Sarah

Everything is going as hoped.  She has good blood flow in her graft
areas.  They are taking her off some of
the sleeping meds to wake her up and remove the breathing tube.

Please continue to pray for her.  Listen to what the Lord is saying.

Thank you and many blessings as you pray and intercede.

I HEAR the SOUND of REIGN!

12-02-2013

Dear PTH Friends,

Listen to the “sound”.  Listen to what the Word of the Lord is saying in this hour.  Listen to the praise, prayers and prophesies.   What does the Lord have in store for this next season? Or maybe I need to back up a little and get through this current season first! So, back to the question:  “What does the Lord have in store?  I don’t know …. However, I do know if He is saying listen, He must be wanting us to hear what He has in store…. the sound …

Do you find this to be true:?   When we listen, there is a natural response and so human nature to hear reports / go with the symptoms from various angles and entities and then start voicing “that language.”… speaking that “sound”…. good or bad news, our “human side” can’t help but react.

“But our citizenship is in heaven.” (Phil 3:20) …. not here on earth – and our battle is not flesh and blood (Eph 6:12).  We live by Kingdom Purposes …. the “sound” that lines up with the WORD.  Yes, the battle is recognized, but the end result …. the end report is that God wins.  And if God be for us, who can be against us?

So, that is why I am writing.  So many are praying and PTH is so appreciative.  Yet, I wanted to let you know the battle is tough.  The good news is that is generally a good indication of the battle in the spiritual realm… and God is in control, regardless how things look, or how long it takes for relief to come.  Remember the story of Daniel and Michael, the angel? (Daniel, chap. 10)  Can’t you just hear Daniel’s plea? … “Man, Michael!  Where’ve you been? …

So thank you, on behalf of PTH, for your prayer coverages.  Prayer is key to releasing His Word and so vital in this hour!  I know many of you probably already join with others regularly in prayer, but if you’ve never had the opportunity to connect with another(s), I just encourage you to go for it and call or meet with a friend(s).  It is powerful and the enemy doesn’t like it!

“Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. (Ecc 4:12).”  Our Words, when we pray God’s Word are powerful!
On the flip side, the enemy knows negativity, or nay-saying tears down and so he’s right in the mix trying to get his two cents in as well.  Like Job’s story and his friends in Job 19:1 & 2:  “Then Job answered and said:  “How long will you torment my soul, And break me in pieces with words?”

Our words are powerful!  True, there may be all sorts of circumstances, storms, issues “words of medical reports” and they have the power to torment to one’s soul… God / Job said it to be so!

Listen to the “sound” of words around you; words we speak, words we hear; even words we say over / to ourselves.  Humbling to think the weightiness of our words hold!  Thank God, He loves to hear our prayers, praise and prophesy when they line up with HIS REPORT!… HIS WORD!

Nancy shared that Henry said the Lord recently told him it would be rough but there is an end.  And how awesome to know that when the Lord speaks, HE  loves to quote Himself :  “I will make “the rough ways smooth” (Is. 42:16)

So, I am beseeching all of us, to be a cord of 3 (Ecc.4:12)  through this season and pray for HIS strength and revelation, etc. to reign down as we approach this 2014 season.  Let our sound be what the LORD is saying … has already spoken!

Pray as the Lord leads and let us all stay connected in some way; unity .
Please pray specifically for Nancy: strength, health, revelation, etc.  as she  listens to the Lord in regards to 2014; and as she leads PTH in the plans of the Lord.  I know the Lord is stirring a powerful Word in her.  She is excited about it but it is definitely been somewhat like a “Dan and Mike” story.

Also, please keep Rose S. in prayer (PTH Assistant Direct in Georgia).  Her spirit is strong, yet her body is still on the “rough path” …. but God said “HE WILL MAKE THE ROUGH WAYS SMOOTH.”

God is LOVE!  LOVE is God!  In Him there is not fear.  1 Jo. 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love cast out fear, because fear involves torment…”   It is no wonder the enemy is tries to torment us in various ways … he’s trying to cast fear.  …. But we HAVE His perfect Love, because of who He is!  Amen!

Sincerely,
Sarah Tarter,

PTH: Thank You for Time!

Nov. 3, 2013

Dear Point To Hope Friends,

It is hard to believe, in the last six weeks,  PTH has just finished hosting two Holy Spirit Encounter conferences (Ketchikan & Ohio), and multiple ministry meetings in between.  “Where are the reports, you might be asking????”   As a special education teacher in the public school system, I’ve come to realized some students just do their homework in their heads, instead of on paper.  So that is where the report has been… in my head.

Still, miracles and “His Power Demonstrated” continue with or without reports; thank you for your prayers!  God is doing so many individual and corporate miracles and healings in this hour.  Subtle and bold, He is always working on our behalf, whether we can see it or not, or know of it.  In fact, He causes “all things” to work together for us…  “And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose,” (Ro. 8:28/NAS.

Yet, though you’ve not received a timely report, you’ve been faithful to pray and intercede for this ministry; for the plans and purposes God has in store for His glory and power to be demonstrated to those who believe, and don’t believe.  He proves Himself faithful!

Thank you for your time!  Time issues are relevant.  In the world, business invades time.  Still, God’s time is eternal.  That is His nature and His name; “The Eternal God” (Gen.21:33), the Lord’s eternal love (1 Ki 10:9), His Word is eternal (Ps 119:89).  And Satan, too has his take on time: he owns the short stick on time:  “He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.” (Rev. 12:12)

Over 2000 years ago, there was an eternal prayer spoken, recorded in His Word and it is for now.  “I pray for them.  I am not praying for the world, but for those you have given me, for they are Yours.” (Jo. 17:9).

Jesus himself, did not even pray for the whole world, just those whom the Father had given to Him.  Thus, when time feels like it is pressing in and there is not enough time to do one more thing, pray for one more thing just remember.  We don’t have to be bound by time in the world: Your world … my world – the things that are around us; they don’t have to consume our time – our prayers!  Only what the Father gives … pray what He gives.  To some of you, the Lord has given a portion of Point To Hope Ministries to pray for … Just as Jesus was given specific things or people to pray for; ministries; countries, etc.  We only have to pray what He asks.  He beckons us to take His yoke and learn; His yoke is easy! (Matt. 11:29-30).

The Lord also had a couple more things for us to do:   “Go” and “Stay.”  Sounds like an oxymoron doesn’t it.  In Mark 16:15, He says:  “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Then, in Luke 24:49, the Lord says: “Stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”

‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord (Zech 4:6).

Waiting in the Upper Room, those who gathered, “They all joined together constantly in prayer…” (Acts 1:14).

So, we don’t have to “take on the world;” we can do both – “Go & Stay”.  And we can all “join together” constantly.  How can that be?  A closer look at “joined together” means (Greek) “same mind / same Spirit.”  UNITY!  As we pray only what the Father has us to pray, go and stay, we are all joining together in unity, clothed in power by the Holy Spirit.

We need not worry, and especially not worry about time!  Worry works against the Holy Spirit.  When something comes to our heart or pricks our heart … ask this simple questions:  Is this a call to pray or worry?  Worry is a thief!  Worry robs our prayer life; worry is a time robber!

Remember, Jesus said we didn’t have to worry about everything / everyone (in the world) … but only pray for what / who the Father gives us.  “Make up your mind not to worry beforehand. (Lk. 21:14).

An inevitable thing happens when we spend time like this:
– doing only what He asks
– “going & staying”
– clothed with the Holy Spirit
– join together by His Spirit
– pray, not worry

…… “The inevitable” should be exciting if we want to go deeper:  We can attend our own funeral!  If we go deeper in Him, “self” has to give up ground.  The more selfless we become, the more we become like HIM!  Die to self = Give up self.  As Paul said:  “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” (Phil. 1:21)  Living according to the flesh feeds fleshly desires; Living according to the Spirit aligns us with what the Spirit desires (Ro. 8:5)

There are things the Lord has in store for those who love Him, and the only way we can experience what He has is to make His Word our time; walking in accordance with His Spirit.  No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind conceived, the things God has for us! (1 Cor. 2:9).

That old song that surfaces every now and then, “Don’t Worry, Be Happy…”  That is a God thought!  He tells us in His Word not to worry (Lk 12:22) and “The joy of the Lord is our strength (Neh. 8:10)

Thank you for your prayers as He leads you.

Also, just a note for what is ahead … I don’t know … but here is what I do know about PTH:
– doing only what He asks
– “going & staying”
– clothed with the Holy Spirit
– join together by His Spirit
– pray, not worry

Though it may seem quiet on the ministry schedule, please know that your prayer coverages for Nancy and the PTH team is so appreciated.  We all know “The harvest is plentiful…” (Matt. 9:37) … and there is much to do … but only what HE says to do.

Blessings to all,

Sincerely,
Sarah Tarter

STANDING IN A TIMELY PLACE!

Greetings, dear and faithful friends!

I’m so honored and blessed to have you eternally partnered with me in prayer.   What an favorable opportunity we have to stand in this place of His perfect timing!  Again, thank you for your faithful prayers.

I am in Ketchikan, Alaska getting ready for the conference.  Everyone here on the Island have been buzzing around with excitement and enthusiasm.  Such expectation!   So many are eager to help, which I am so appreciative of and grateful.  I know the Lord’s heart is blessed by involvement of so many in gathering and praying even before I arrived here in Ketchikan.

Starting today and through Wednesday evening, many will be arriving : the PTH workshop speakers, PTH leaders, the Worship leader and team, intercessors from different areas around Alaska and the U.S. Yes, much excitement!  Why?  Because God has set up this divine appointment!

As I shared earlier, much prayer coverage has already taken place on behalf of this conference.  The formal start for the conference is Thursday night.  However, Wednesday night is the starting point for the conference leadership, intercessors, helpers; all are welcome to come and intercede, and hear a “preview” of what is to come.   Wed. evening is a prayer and preparation start for the leadership, and others involved.

On Thursday morning, God has required of me to be a part of washing feet; a preparation for  myself and the leadership as we prepare to be servants for the Kingdom God.  He is moving to establish His Bride and he is requiring us to BELIEVE!   The Lord has prompted me to assemble a group on a high mountain overlooking the city of Ketchikan.  Listen for the sound!  We will be blowing the shofar declaring the sound for alliance, and 3 calls for God’s order:  Sound of prayer, praise and prophecy and so much more!

I’m sitting here in my room, gazing at a familiar picture from Malta which I brought back for my dear, Debbie Andreas in 2011.  She had it matted and framed and hung in the guest bedroom.  It feels like a home away from home.  I cannot, nor do I want to, escape the memories of that journey to Malta.  I was so exciting to be walking in the historic footsteps of the blessed Apostle Paul.  Oh my gosh, it was amazing, and almost indescribable.  One of my fondest refections of that trip was St. Paul’s Bay.  Sarah and I even had the opportunity to swim in it.  Yes, this is the place where Paul was shipped wrecked.  Praise the Lord, all were spared because of obedience! I experienced such acts of kindness while there.   And now,  here I am on the Bay in Ketchikan.  Yes, the Footsteps of Jesus will be walking this land as well; through the feet of the faithful and humble servants that He is planning to use.

Oh my gosh, I’m so very blessed and honored to represent His footsteps in this Land.  Every prayer lifted up in behalf of this ministry is all about His footsteps being established!  ALL TO HIS GLORY!  And, all that are praying, your right there with us!  Be blessed!

Lamentations 3:21-26…His compassion never ends.”  That’s an awesome thing to BELIEVE!

I AM PRAYING:
THAT THE LOIN OF JUDAH ROARS OVER THE CITY.
THAT KETCHIKAN WILL SENSE THE SOUND AND BREATH OF GOD IN OUR PRESENCE!
ALL THAT  HAS BEEN IN PLACE, YET IS OUT OF GOD’S ORDER … BE SET IN RIGHT ORDER!
FIRST REPENT… THEN DECLARE
OUT OF CHAOS AND INTO GOD’S PEACE IN THE MIST OF STORMS
KETCHIKAN, YOU WILL BE BLESSED AMONGST THE STORMS OF LIFE AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THE ABUNDANT LIFE IS AVAILABLE, NOW!
YES, ALIGNMENT AND FINE TUNING AND THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND ESTABLISHING OF HIS BRILLIANT LIGHT OF HIS PRESENCE.

YES, FATHER GOD, THROUGH YOUR SON’S POWERFUL NAME…”JESUS CHRIST” PLEASE MAKE A DIFFERENCE, MAKE A CHANGE…LET ALL THE PEOPLE HEAR FOR OURSELVES,   A TRUE SOUND THAT BRINGS HEALING, RECONCILIATIONS … DELIVERANCE AND RESTORATION..
LORD, STRENGTHEN THE MINISTRY TEAM THAT YOU HAVE CALLED TOGETHER.  CAUSE US TO BE A COHESIVE TEAM.  YOU DEVELOP THE ALLIANCE AMONG US!  ONE … YES, ONE BODY, ONE SPIRIT!  UNITY … SO THAT NOTHING EVIL, DIVISIVE, OR ANY DISTRACTION WILL GET THROUGH….I PRAY DEAR LORD THAT YOU TRULY ENCIRCLE THE TEAM, THE PEOPLE OF THE LAND … PROTECT,  CARE FOR ALL.
NOT ONE BE LOST!!!!!

LET US BE WILLING TO BE COMPLETE IN YOU TO DO HIS GOOD PLEASURE.  LET “OUR FIRST LOVE” BE REESTABLISHED FOR HIS KINGDOM SAKE!   AMEN!  YES,  ALL TO HIS GLORY AND GOOD PLEASURE!

JOIN US IN THIS GREAT VICTORIOUS BATTLE … FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS TRULY IN THIS PLACE … THE BATTLE IS ALREADY HIS!  VICTORY!!! BUT OUR OBEDIENCE IS REQUIRED TO WALK IT OUT FAITHFULLY!

LOVE TO YOU DEAR ONES!  AND ALL THAT YOU HAVE SOLICITED TO JOIN US IN PRAYER…WE SO APPRECIATE YOU!

LOVE AND BLESSINGS,

NANCY

PS… I KNOW THAT HE WILL BLESS YOUR FAITHFULNESS!

Sound of a VanGogh Prayer

September 14, 2013

Dear PTH Friends,

I’d say I’d like to share a “quick” note with you, but I have an inkling it is not going to be short.  If you don’t already have this realization, I pray that  by the end of this letter you will sense the great value and worth of your prayers.  Not just prayer coverage for this ministry; it is beyond that!  It is prayer coverage for the plans and purposes of the Lord as He leads you.   Furthermore, the Lord has been revealing His thoughts to Nancy about the upcoming year of 2014.  So soon? … you might be thinking??  Consider this, according to the Jewish calendar, the beginning of the 2014 new year in now.

Perhaps it might seem quiet on the frontline of the Point To Hope ministry schedule.  Yet, He tells us in Psalm 121:3b (NIV),  “He who watches over you will not slumber.”  That is an encouraging promise to know that where ever we are in life’s ministry, He does not slumber.  It is also an excellent time to be “Christ-like” in this manner:   We don’t want to be like the lesson Solomon observed:
“Then, as I looked, I learned this lesson:
     ‘A little extra sleep,
     A little more slumber,
A little folding of the hands to rest’ …
means that poverty will break in upon you suddenly like a robber and violently like a bandit.” (Prov. 24:32-34/L.

Quiet or busy, we always have an opponent … a constant and continuous opponent / enemy; perhaps more so when things are seemingly dormant on the frontline.  But the Lord’s remedy is:  “Keep awake! Watch at all times.  The devil is working against you.  He is walking around like a hungry lion with his mouth open. He is looking for someone to eat.” (1 Pet. 5:8/NLT)

Now, I’m sure none of us prefers to be eaten!  Thus, we must continue to take up our cross and follow Him  … finding our life by losing our life, for His sake ((Matt. 10:38/NIV); in the quietness or business of life’s forecast.  Pursuing God; putting Him first in front of our fathers, mothers, spouses, sisters, brothers, and children … self … is a requirement to be His disciple (Luke 14:26-27).

If you are one the Lord prompts to pray for Point To Hope Ministries, please know that your prayers are essential for God’s plans, provision, protection, assignments, etc.  Prayers cause the prowling lion to go hungry; prayer protects and provides on the road and during the quiet times.  Prayer knocks the lion down the food-chain!

Perhaps you’ve heard the news that the famous Dutch artist, Vincent VanGogh’s painting “Sunset at Montmajour” has been discovered. However, did you know that during VanGogh’s lifetime he received little recognition as an artist?  Even more surprising, he sold only one painting a few months before his death.  One of VanGogh’s earliest desires was to be a pastor.  He actually worked as a missionary a few years prior to painting his first major work, “The Potato Eaters”; which he considered his most successful painting.  Yet, both his brother and close friend criticized this painting, crippling his confidence of a God-given gift.  Unfortunately, VanGogh’s life ended tragically at age 37, allegedly by suicide following years of mental illness.  Still, today the labor of his hands, his time, his meditation are significant to many … highly valued and worth millions!

I suppose you may be wondering how VanGogh’s paintings fit into the Point To Hope picture?  The intend of “The Potato Eaters” was to depict hard working people of an everyday life-style, partaking in the fruit of their labor; eating with the very hands that tilted the land.  The characters were not beautiful or colorful.  They were ordinary, honest people captured in a painting which at the time had little worth.

Your prayers, though you may not see the worth now, capture every day people partaking of their every day tasks.  For some, your prayers are the colors that get them from one day to the next.  Your heart is for intercession and praying for God’s plans and purposes, yet you may be one who is criticized by your family or closest friends.   That special place in your life – that communion of prayer with the Father seems of little value to those around you.  Yet, in due season, your prayers become well known to those who over come life’s struggle or heartache.  Though they may never meet the artist in person, or perhaps in this lifetime, the value seems to increase.

Numbers, chapters 10 captures a strategic plan for the body of Christ.  A story painted long ago, yet it holds great value for us today in defeating the enemy.  Go with me as I pull some colors from this chapter, and you can paint the picture:

The Lord gives Moses, the leader, some orders:
sound the trumpet
a calling for a unified gathering
gather at the entrance of the tent of meetings; the cloud (the presence of the Lord)
one sound will be for leaders to assemble; another sound for the whole community
the sound will be when you go in to battle
the sound will be a call for the Lord to rescue us from our enemies
the sound will be that of rejoicing
the sound will be that of offerings
the sound will be a memorial before God that declares: He is the Lord our God.

Why the trumpet sound?
it was time for the believers to “set-out” … together … ; regardless of their level of belief; regardless what tribe / church they were from, etc.
there was an order under the commandment of Moses
some went first, others followed, some were the rear guard … but ALL were apart; and all went; they formed an “alliance”
All setting out for the place the Lord said, “I will give it to you.”

“Little Snag”:
Moses’ very own father-in-law said he didn’t want to go; he wanted to go back to his own land; own people …. stay where it was comfortable, familiar – perhaps didn’t see the value of his participation??? Discouraged??? Afraid of enemy??? Doubt … unbelief?

But this is what the leader, Moses did:  He saw a gift that was necessary for the “Body of Christ.”  Moses met his relative right were he was in his state of mind and encouraged him.   He recognized his father-in-law as one who knew the way through the wilderness … the one who could be the eyes for others.  (Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ, 1 Cor. 12:12/NIV).

“Don’t Leave Without It”
the Lord went before them as a body of believers
unity was a necessity for victory

When ever Moses recognized the Lord’s presence, he made a sound:
sound of prayer
sound of praise
sound of prophecy

Which leads me to share with you, a little bit of what the Lord is stirring in Nancy’s heart for this upcoming 2014 year.

Last Saturday (9/7), I, as one in the tribe of Christ, followed “Moses” to where the Lord was leading.   The Lord had given Nancy a “sound” assignment:  To go up to a high place in Anchorage and blow the shofar three times for:  1) sound of prayer, 2) sound of praise, and 3) sound of prophecy.  So that is what we did and the most amazing thing happened before our eyes.  There were a few scattered clouds, but within seconds after the sound of the shofar, the clouds began to well up like billowing waves and move through the valley and depart upward (pictured above).  The Lord promised the sound would go around the world; the sound would not return void.

There are several scriptures in God’s Word where clouds signify the very presence of the Lord.   This view felt like a scene right from the Bible.  It was like we could hear the sound of the clouds.

A key word the Lord has given Nancy about 2014 is “alliance.”  Alliance among believers; to come into unity and pray, praise and prophesy.  A coronation at the sound of the shofar.  LISTEN … what do you hear?  The King of kings, the Lord of lords is here!  Jesus is here!  Listen for His still small voice!

Sound of Prayer:  humbling ourselves with sincere prayers;  A new level of prayer; “Now, faith!” (Heb. 11:1) – praying what isn’t as if it is.  A timeless spiritual principle that has never changed.

Sound of Praise:  Praising the King of kings, from our innermost being. Praise, adoration, and outward expression from deep within of “I give, I give” rather than “I need, I need.”  Exalting and glorifying Him; He needs to be our main focus in order for us to move by the wind of His Spirit in 2014.

Sound of Prophecy:  Listen!  “Let all creation rejoice before the Lord” (Ps 96:13a).  His sound is evident everywhere.  Do we hear?  Are we listening?  Regardless the ever-present and persistent distractions, we have to listen to hear Him.

That is just a sampling of what is to come for 2014!

Remembering the theme for this year:  The Kingdom of God Demonstrated: See His Glory, Sense His Presence, Know His Truth.  The Ketchikan PTH Conference is fast approaching.  Please check the website for details….

Sept. 4, 2013

Dear Point To Hope Friend,

Hard to believe it was last May 24th when Nancy and I (Sarah) left Alaska, along with the Stinson family to head to Lucknow, India.  From there, the path of the Lord for PTH included: Hong Kong, driving America’s Northern border (completing the last of the borders in America); continuing on to do the same around Israel’s borders and ending the ministry in the Georgia / South Carolina area.   Now, Nancy and Debbie G.(who traded places with me Aug. 12th) are making their way back to the great state of Alaska.

The Lord has proved Faithful to so many; young or elderly, new or seasoned christians, people from all walks of life and nationalities, etc.  If the Lord was given permission, lives touched by the Master.  And also, glory to the Lord for His blessing, favor, and protective mighty hand upon the leadership team of Point To Hope Ministries.  Additionally, so many of God’s faithful servants came along side to support PTH at various times to help house and carry out the plans of the Lord.  Thank you to all.

Without your prayer support … well, how do I say it?  Like going fishing without a pole … going canoeing without a paddle … a battle without a weapon … sky diving without a parachute … high diving without water!  Somethings are designed to work together; God’s plans and prayer!  Thank you for your prayer support.

Don’t forget about the up coming PTH Holy Spirit Encounter Conference in Ketchikan, Alaska (Sept. 26-28, 2013).  It is going to be awesome!  The theme is “The Power of God Demonstrated.”  See the website for details:  www.pointtohope.org  “event calendar”

Blessing to all, and again, thank you for your faithful prayer coverage.

South Carolina’s report of the great things that God has accomplished in this state.

People are being set free by hearing the Truth that the Holy Spirit has given Nancy Haney to share specifically with the people here in South Carolina.

The Testimonies that we have heard are living proof that the people have received what they have hard from the Holy Spirit.

We had a man come forward who wanted to receive more Power from God.
He gloriously received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.

The next night, a woman who was very hungry for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit desired to be prayed for and received her prayer language.

A pastor from one of the churches was restored and encouraged by the outpouring of the God’s love and the Truth that was preached.  It was said later that the church services had doubled in size and that a spirit of unity was felt throughout all those that came.

Earlier this year, Nancy was invited to pray with a pastor and his wife concerning a fairly new ministry that serves specific needs for individuals.  There has been much development and growth to this outreach ministry, and people continue to be set free.

Matthew 13:7-9
Some seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants.
Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop, a 100, 60 and 30 times what was sown.
“He who has ears, let them hear.”
And South Carolina has heard, thank you Jesus and Point to Hope Ministries and Intercessors!!!

Our motto has been borrowed from the song “Bless the Lord…” We sing:  “Praise  the Lord, O my soul.  And all that is within me praise His Holy Name.”  In all things, we are to praise the Lord.  Even when, simple yet significant things went wrong like “no eggs at Wal-Mart,” we were praising the Lord as we went to another store.  Perhaps that may seem insignificant, but if time permitted telling the whole funny story, you’d believe …  eggs were a necessity!

The people are spiritually hungry and seeking more of God.  At least 5 people have received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and they were younger people.  God is calling His people and they are answering the call.

We did a meeting at a small country church that was packed; nearly all the seats were filled.  Nancy sought a woman in the back of the room who looked like she could use a word of encouragement.  Nancy spoke over her and prayed.  There were tears, but when they passed, she left with joy all over her.  God is never finished with us.

What I witnessed at the meetings I attended was many realizing that they had fallen away from their First Love and had allowed anger and disbelief in their heart. I saw many repent and their lives changed. Many realized they were walking in their form of godliness not staying filled with the Holy Spirit Power. They were walking in yesterdays anointing, but the Lord was gracious and poured out fresh oil on His people. Lives were reconciled, restored, revived, and some delivered. I witnessed a couple people being filled and baptized in the Holy Spirit. I saw grown men tear up as the Lord melted their hearts to come back closer to Him and believe. Many times we would go to a church and many that had a great level of believe, but at the end of the service, after the word of God went forth like a two edged sword, they were repenting at the altar for their level of doubt and walking in a form. I believe many were brought back to a more intimate walk with the Father through the Lord Jesus.
